Job Summary: To coordinate day-to-day requirements through the production system with emphasis on reducing non-value-add (NVA) activities from inputs into assembly areas. To manage production orders, travellers and coordinate deliveries into the production process. Maximise efficiency and reduce waste to achieve on-time delivery (OTD) targets. Encourage and participate in continuous improvement activities within the production system.
Responsibilities
* Ensure production requirements are integrated into the daily production schedule and communicate daily work coordination to colleagues.
* Take responsibility for component quality and conformity.
* Implement best practice and maintain high housekeeping standards.
* Minimise shop-floor material inventory.
* Contribute and secure all inputs to ensure cell performance outputs are achieved, measured against KPIs and NVA measures.
* Maintain a consistent approach to standardized work and share learning experiences.
* Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with the Company Health & Safety policy.
* Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by management.
* Process NCRs and MRB stock cages.
Qualifications and Competencies
* Good working knowledge of M3; GCSE/NVQ Level 2 essential.
* Understanding of SSGB product and quality concerns; good understanding of MRP principles.
* Ability and flexibility to travel to other SSGB sites (essential).
* Ability to work unsupervised / self-motivated (essential).
* Ability to communicate at all levels; computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) (essential).
