My client, a well-respected, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Flood Risk Consultant to join their established team of design and engineering experts, based near the historical, scenic town of Bridgend.
Essential Criteria:
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or similar, relevant discipline)
Demonstrable experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Consequence Assessments
Practical experience of producing Surface Water Drainage Strategies, SAB Applications, and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) designs
Full competence in the use of relevant software packages (namely Causeway Flow and InfoDrainage)
It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Flood Risk Consultant to possess the following:
Prior knowledge of the local area and wider region of South Wales
Hold Chartered Status (or actively working to attain this)
In your challenging new role of Flood Risk Consultant, you will join a skilled team of engineers and designers within the industry. You will be encouraged to develop your repertoire of skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The role will involve a variety of interesting responsibilities, including:
Authoring Flood Risk Assessments for Flood Zones One, Two, and Three
Preparing and submitting Flood Consequence Assessments
Producing Surface Water Management Plans, as well as Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies
Submitting SAB Applications
Undertaking Flood Risk Mapping and Drainage Area Planning
Utilising the appropriate software packages (such as Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage, etc.) to design detailed residential drainage and sewerage plans
Working across a range of projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
