Overview

Senior Project Manager (Education Sector) at AECOM — we are seeking a Senior Project Manager with proven experience in a construction consultancy setting, with a focus on projects within the Education or Higher Education sectors.


Responsibilities

* Manage one or more moderately complex projects with responsibilities that may include administration of the NEC4 contracts.
* Engage with clients with a regional geographic footprint or projects involving multiple services from regional offices.
* May manage all phases of projects from inception to close-out.
* Work mostly independently with guidance on objectives, complex features and potential solutions.
* Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems with supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
* May supervise senior engineers across disciplines, as well as project administration, controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating and procurement representatives.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

* Ideally from a consultancy or client organisation with the ability to lead construction projects within Education and Higher Education sectors.
* Pre- and post-contract design / project management experience over the RIBA lifecycle.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* NEC4 Contract Administration (accreditation is a positive).
* Maintain accurate project records (paper and electronic).
* Robust Stakeholder Management process.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Academic qualification—ideally a Master’s Degree in Project Management, Construction, Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
* NEC 3/4 accreditation.
* Chartered status with RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution.
* APM affiliation preferred (secondary accreditation).
