A leading precision engineeringpany is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to join its established manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to take ownership of CNC programming, tooling management and high‑qualityponent production within a modern, well‑equipped facility.
Your New RoleYou will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machine tools to produce high‑qualityponents in line with customer specifications. Working closely with production and quality teams, you will ensure efficient manufacturing processes, accurate documentation and fullpliance with safety and quality standards.Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Safely operate all machine tools while maintaining consistent product quality
2. Programme CNC machines and manage efficientponent manufacture
3. Maintain and update the OneCNC CAD system, including set‑up sheets and data management
4. Manage tooling systems for new, used and obsolete cutters
5. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
6. Set and load machines with correct tooling and programmes
7. Supervise Machine Operators during production
8. Ensure all work meets customer specifications through accurate inspection
9. Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and Health & Safety regulations
10. Escalate job‑related or customer concerns to the Production Supervisor
11. Maintain a clean, organised and secure work area
12. Support continuous improvement and efficient manufacturing practices
What You’ll Need to Succeed
13. Strong understanding of machining techniques and manufacturing methods
14. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications
15. Experience programming and operating CNC machine tools
16. Proficient in using inspection equipment
17. Full understanding of ISO 9001 and Health & Safety requirements
18. Strongmunication skills and ability to work independently or within a small team
19. Positive attitude, self‑motivation and ability to prioritise workloads
20. Flexible approach to working practices
