We're looking for a dynamic Automation and Installation Engineer to join our busy Production Team based in Kent, taking a lead role in the assembly, installation and commissioning of our electromechanical smart weighing systems.

What You'll Do
This role is primarily based at our Edenbridge production facility but will require occasional UK and international travel. Key responsibilities include:
* Assemble complex electromechanical systems to high quality standards at our production facility in Edenbridge, Kent.
* Install and commission systems at customer sites when required, including travel to international destinations as required.
* Work in partnership with the Production Team to ensure build deadlines are met and installation is completed to a high standard.
* Represent MARCO onsite as a customer facing engineer, taking ownership of onsite issues and working collaboratively to execute and document resolutions.
* Support the wider business with planning, design, development, service and troubleshooting as appropriate.
* Attend and proactively contribute to daily visual management and project meetings to ensure customer expectations and on-time delivery metrics are always exceeded.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Engineering qualification - HND or higher (or equivalent).
* Significant prior experience assembling and integrating complex electro-mechanical systems in an engineering environment.
* Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings.
* Comfortable reading electrical panel wiring diagrams.
* Organised, self-starter who can work to deadlines in a timely manner.
* Strong communication skills, with a high degree of written and verbal English.
* Full UK driver's licence and no restrictions on international travel.
The ideal candidate would also...
* Have prior experience of drawing electrical diagrams.
* Have prior experience of PLC programming.
* Hold a forklift license.
* Have experience with lean manufacturing principles
