Responsibilities
* Technical Support: Providing remote assistance to site commissioning engineers, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to control systems.
* System Configuration and Testing: Assist in configuring, testing, and validating control systems to ensure they meet project specifications and operational requirements.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of support activities, including issue resolution steps, system configurations, and any changes made during the support process.
* Training and Guidance: Offer training and guidance to site engineers on the operation and maintenance of control systems, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle on-site challenges.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in control systems and support processes, providing feedback to the development team to enhance system performance and reliability.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of control systems.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure all control systems and support activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
* Trade Qualified Industrial Electrician or Instrument Fitter, coupled with Associated Diploma of Engineering (Electrical), or Equivalent
* Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical or Control Systems)
Experience
* Proven experience in control systems design, programming, commissioning.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, DCS (Distributed Control Systems), and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) software.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently and effectively.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear instructions and support to on-site engineers.
* Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
