Facilities Project Engineer
Siemens Healthineers has an opportunity for afacilities project engineer to join the existing facilities team, which coversboth ongoing maintenance and improvement projects to the current productionfacilities. The team ensures that the operation of the current production andoffice areas is compliant, effective, and efficient, covering both hard andsoft services.Siemens Healthineers are inthe process of building a new production facility in Bicester and the projectengineer will be the link between the facilities team and the new factorydelivery team.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
1. Co-ordinatethe capital projects for the facilities department, prepare justifications fornew project approvals, and track projects for timing, quality, and cost.
2. Take responsibilityfor several facilities capital projects from concept through tocompletion.Including developing theinitial concepts, generating the specifications, placing the orders, controllingthe contractors on site, and finally accepting the works.
3. The projectswill cover a wide range of facilities areas and systems, including smallbuilding works, heating and cooling systems, fire systems, security systems andutility electricity, compressed air, and water.
4. Work withthe soft service suppliers as required to develop and improve their provisionto Siemens Healthineers, cleaning, waste, security, and catering.
5. Thefacilities project engineer will be responsible for coordinating the facilitiesteams’ interactions and responses to the new factory delivery team. To ensurethe new facility infrastructure efficiently and effectively supports productionat the minimum whole life cycle cost.
Your qualifications and experience:
6. Experiencerunning multiple projects ranging in scale and duration.
7. Experience maintainingand improving a wide range of building and utility systems. Knowledge of someof the following systems would be expected, minor building works, generalmodifications to production and office environments, heating and coolingsystems, electrical and compressed air installations.
8. Provenexperience of managing contractors onsite ensuring a safe working environment.
9. Experiencereviewing method statements and risk assessments.
10. Good workingknowledge of CDM (Construction Design Management)
11. A degree in engineeringor extensive equivalent experience.
12. Workingknowledge of AutoCAD for 2D layout development.
