MET Technician
Location: Birmingham
Basic Salary: Up to £52,500
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
Follow correct repair techniques and factory specifications
Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components
Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as required
Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix system issues
Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
Maintain accurate records of all work performed
Adhere to all safety protocols and standards
Skills and Qualifications
Recognised apprenticeship as a MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician
Technical qualification such as NVQ, ATA, IMI, or SVQ
Previous experience within a busy bodyshop environment
Experience with geometry work and 4-wheel alignment
Up-to-date diagnostic training and repair techniques
Strong team player with a self-motivated attitude to achieve bonus hours
