Job Description:
As Business Development Lead, you will be expected to conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and demonstrate strong leadership.
Your main focus will be Business Development for the client, as well as supporting the internal team. This includes leading by example, motivating staff, and helping them develop their potential.
As a Subject Matter Expert in climate change and sustainability, you will lead in developing and maximising the contract and consultancy experience for our clients. You will also serve as Leader and Solution Oversight on client projects, supervising consultants and senior staff to ensure client goals are met. Additionally, you will actively seek and pursue new business opportunities to support organizational growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
* Proactively identify opportunities.
* Drive business growth initiatives.
* Lead in preparing bids, proposals, and tenders.
* Engage with clients, prospects, and partners.
* Promote the business via social media (e.g., LinkedIn).
* Develop and present case studies and lessons learned.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and clients to identify further opportunities.
* Manage large client accounts, reporting to Senior Leadership.
Internal Responsibilities
* Communicate effectively with senior staff, clients, and stakeholders.
* Support leadership with business initiatives.
* Participate in business development activities and client interactions.
* Assist with bids and securing new work.
* Represent the company at conferences, client dinners, and events.
* Manage and supervise technical staff and resources.
* Set and implement strategic direction for the team.
* Maximise utilisation of service stream consultants.
* Manage team workloads, objectives, and performance.
* Office attendance in Bristol and London would be occasional and limited.
