Description
* Serve customers at the trade counter, ensuring excellent service at all times.
* Provide expert advice on roofing and building materials to meet customer needs.
* Process sales orders, quotations, and returns accurately using internal systems.
* Maintain stock levels, monitor product availability, and assist with inventory control.
* Support sales initiatives and upsell products to maximise branch profitability.
* Handle customer queries efficiently and resolve any issues promptly.
* Ensure the trade counter area is clean, organised, and well-presented.
* Collaborate with the branch team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
Profile
* Previous experience in roofing supplies, builders' merchants, or trade counter sales.
* Strong knowledge of roofing products such as slates, tiles, membranes, and flat roofing systems.
* Ability to provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers.
* Proven track record in customer service and trade sales within the construction or roofing sector.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with trade and retail customers.
* Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* IT literate with experience in processing orders and quotations.
