The Role – Vehicle Technician (4x4 Specialist)
We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic to join our specialist workshop team.
You will be working on a variety of 4x4 and SUV vehicles, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys technical problem-solving, working on specialist vehicles, and developing advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment
* Work on engines, suspension, braking systems, and drivetrain components
* Perform advanced diagnostics and fault finding
* Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
* Use specialist tools and workshop systems to complete repairs efficiently
* Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and documentation
* Collaborate with the workshop team to deliver high-quality results
* Ensure all work meets manufacturer and industry standards
About You
* NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Experience working with 4x4, SUV, or specialist vehicles (advantageous, not essential)
* Knowledge of modern vehicle systems, electronics, and diagnostics
* Fabrication or welding skills beneficial but not required
* Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality workmanship
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
