A leading global engineering and project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Civil Water Engineer to join its multidisciplinary design team. Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate or manage a team of Civil Water Engineers delivering technical design work on complex multidisciplinary projects
* Deliver high quality engineering solutions across areas such as hydraulics, wastewater and clean water infrastructure, water reuse and pipeline design
* Produce and review technical deliverables including design reports, calculations, drawings and scopes of work
* Provide technical input into project design and support project teams in managing programme timelines and budgets
* Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and wider project teams to deliver integrated design solutions
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting capability development within the team
* Work independently where required, applying sound engineering judgement to solve complex technical challenges
* Contribute technical expertise to bid and proposal submissions
* Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes, including checking and reviewing both personal and team deliverables
Candidate Requirements
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* Proven experience coordinating or managing civil water engineering design delivery within a consultancy environment
* Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams across complex infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, including collaboration with contractors and delivery teams
* Practical experience in risk management, design coordination and quality assurance processes
* Strong knowledge of current engineering standards, codes and best practice within water infrastructure design
* Ability to work independently and apply engineering judgement to technical challenges
* Demonstrated experience within the water sector
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly across multidisciplinary teams
* Proactive, collaborative and motivated approach to delivering high quality engineering outcomes
