Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chocolatier or Pastry Chef to join our culinary team for the Festive Season. (October-December)
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular focus on working with chocolate. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality within a production kitchen.
Responsibilities
* Produce a variety of chocolate products such as moulded bonbons, truffles and enrobed products, according to established recipes and specifications.
* Assist in the development of new recipes that align with current trends and seasonal occasions.
* Ensure all food production meets health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Ideally with capacity to take on a higher level of compliance record keeping.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure deadlines are met and efficient workflow during busy periods.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
* Conduct regular quality checks on goods to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
* Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly after use.
Experience
* Previous experience in a production kitchen environment is essential, with a focus on pastry or chocolate roles preferred.
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of tempering, moulding and decorating techniques ideally.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is crucial to ensure compliance within the kitchen.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of food production.
* A creative flair for designing visually appealing confectionary.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
