Vision for Education is recruiting enthusiastic and confident individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools, supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4. This role is an excellent stepping stone into teaching, education support roles, or long-term supply work.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in secondary schools by supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading classes of approximately 25–30 pupils
2. Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects
3. Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive learning environments
4. Taking accurate registers and following school policies
5. Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of the lesson
You do not need to be a subject specialist. Full lesson materials are provided, allowing you to focus on engaging pupils, managing the classroom, and supporting learning.
For candidates new to the role, Vision for Education offers access to a Cover Supervisor Training Programme, designed to build confidence, classroom management skills, and an understanding of safeguarding and school expectations.

Requirements

16. Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid DBS (or willingness to apply)
