Serving bars, restaurants, retailers, and events, they aim to keep the good times flowing and need someone who can keep the fleet running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily transport operations across a fast-moving fleet
* Plan and optimise delivery routes for maximum efficiency
* Manage a team of drivers, training and performance
* Assist the Transport Logistics Manager in preparing detail for monthly reports
* Analyse daily plans and working hours of crews to facilitate optimal performance
* Ensure full compliance with DVSA and other regulatory requirements
* Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, insurance, and fuel usage
* Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
* Ensure investigations into accidents and incidents are completed effectively with follow-up actions communicated to the wider team
* Maintain consistent communications across the team and develop relationships with other departments
* Identify and address people management issues promptly and effectively
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a transport/logistics manager role, ideally in FMCG or alcohol distribution
* Strong knowledge of transport compliance and vehicle regulations
* Excellent leadership and team management skills
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in a high-volume environment
* Tech-savvy with experience using transport planning or fleet management software
* CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) holder desirable
