About:
Were looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a high x2011;performing manufacturing site and play a key role in maintaining and optimising production performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer ready to step up, or an established team leader looking for a new challenge within a well x2011;invested, forward x2011;thinking operation.
Youll lead a small on x2011;shift engineering team, drive reliability, support continuous improvement, and ensure equipment uptime across fast x2011;paced FMCG lines.
Responsibilities:
* Leading and developing a team of engineers across the shift
* Prioritising and delegating maintenance tasks to maximise efficiency
* Supporting planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across production assets
* Ensuring full compliance with site H and S procedures (permits, RAMS, audits)
* Working with automation, packaging, and processing equipment (conveyors, robotics, weighing, vision systems, thermoformers, etc.)
* Working closely with senior engineering leadership to improve performance, downtime, and reliability
* Supporting training, skills gap development, and contractor management
* Balancing hands:on and hands:off duties depending on operational needs
Requirements:
* Strong electrical bias (or multiskilled with strong electrical capability)
* Proven engineering experience within FMCG, manufacturing or food production
* Level 3 or above in Engineering + relevant electrical certification (18th Edition ideal)
* Confident fault:finding on PLC x2011;controlled systems (any brand considered)
* Good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, motors, and inverters
* Experience supervising or leading small teams (official or unofficial)
* Strong communicator with good initiative and problem:solving ability
Nice to Have:
* PLC programming exposure
* CI / improvement experience
* OEM liaison experience
* Health and Safety qualifications
