Overview

Yorkshire Ambulance Service: Ancillary Services Team, is offering an opportunity for an Optional shift 25 hours per week, Premise Cleaner at our Head Quarters Wakefield. Shift options include 5am or 6am start times, with 5 hour shifts Monday to Friday. Working days and times are dependent upon provision required due to the Yorkshire Ambulance Service operating 24/7 Emergency Service. Allocated Bank Holiday working is required. A very basic Physical Capability Assessment (PCA) is mandatory prior to any unconditional offer of employment. A 12-15 minute basic Physical Capability Assessment will be required for the successful candidate.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) NHS Trust covers nearly 6,000 square miles of varied terrain and serves a population of over five million people across Yorkshire and the Humber. Responsibilities

Station/Site Cleaning: To undertake cleaning, decontamination, and other associated tasks to meet high standards of cleanliness and Infection Prevention and Control measures across our stations and sites. Ensure all activities are performed in line with Trust Cleaning Protocols, procedures, and daily work schedules. Achieve and maintain all required standards of cleanliness across the organization. Cleaning coverage includes entrances and foyers, public and staff washrooms/toilets, kitchens, canteens/restaurants, gym facilities, shower rooms, training rooms, corridors, stairs, landings, lifts, offices, contact centres, storerooms, dirty utility rooms, crew rooms, external areas, and other related areas. Maintain adequate stocks of cleaning materials and record daily activities. Perform urgent spillages, ad-hoc cleaning, and deep cleaning as required or identified. Use of basic IT (accessing and inputting information) is essential (e.g., emails and time sheets). Training package includes NVQ Level 2 & NCFE IPC Level 2.

Additional requirements include a flexible and can-do attitude towards ad-hoc changes in scheduled work and potential alternative location support cover within your shift. Due to site support needs and Emergency Services health care provision, short notice changes can occur within tasks and duties. You must be able to work alone to plan essential tasks and communicate effectively with senior staff. Please describe how you meet the person specification within your application.


Requirements and Qualifications

* Basic Physical Capability Assessment completed as part of the process (12-15 minutes).
* Ability to work on a 25-hour weekly schedule with 5-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with possible early start times (5am or 6am).
* Availability for allocated Bank Holiday working.
* Basic IT skills for emails and timesheets; willingness to learn and use Trust systems.
* Flexible, adaptable, and willing to cover ad-hoc changes and potential shifts at other sites as required.
