Role: Intermediate Mechanical Engineer
Location: Essex
Salary: Up to £40k

The Role
* Assist in the design and specification of mechanical building services including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, public health systems, and sustainable technologies.
* Prepare design calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
* Support project management activities and attend client/contractor meetings.
* Undertake surveys, feasibility studies, and condition reports.
* Work closely with senior engineers and Associate Directors to deliver projects from concept to completion.
* Contribute to energy efficiency assessments, low carbon design solutions, and compliance with Building Regulations.
About You
* We are looking for someone with:
* A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering.
* 2-5 years' experience in a building services consultancy or similar environment.
* Good knowledge of mechanical design software (e.g. Hevacomp, IES, or similar) and AutoCAD/Revit.
* Strong technical understanding of UK building services standards and regulations.
* An interest in sustainability and low-carbon design.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Working towards (or already holding) professional membership with CIBSE/IMechE.
