Overview
A leading UK building solutions provider is offering a 6-month contract for a Solution Designer, based at their Midlands innovation hub. This role supports the development of customer-focused systems, services, and products through collaborative project work. The position offers a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum (pro rata) and requires occasional UK travel.
Role and Responsibilities
Temporary Solution Designer - Innovation Projects
* As a Solution Designer, collaborate across departments to design and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
* Play a key role in project delivery, ensuring high standards and keeping the customer experience at the heart of activities.
* Support the development of innovative solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
* Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure transparent communication.
* Apply technical processes to solve challenges and deliver impactful results.
* Promote safety and continuous improvement across all activities.
What You'll Bring
* Essential: Degree in science, engineering, or related field (text originally listed as science, engineering, or social science; industrial experience within materials/chemistry is noted).
* Industrial experience within materials/chemistry (or related).
* Strong customer focus and empathy.
* Knowledge of technical systems and services in a commercial or industrial setting.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality results on time.
* Willingness to travel within the UK.
