Tradewind Recruitment are supporting one of their partnership Special Educational Needs Schools based in the Burton on Trent, with a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant for children with SEN.
This is a wonderful, dedicated SEN School which is part of a successful trust but holds a community feel within the local area. The school has a wonderful reputation in the area with parents and is a school regularly requested by supply staff to return to.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil in Year 1
Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation
Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development
Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan
Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environmentThe Hours:
Monday to Thursday - 08:15 to 16:30
Friday - 08:15 to 15:00The Ideal Candidate:
Holds at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require weekday availability)Why Work with Tradewind?
