About You
You are an experienced Quality Improvement Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing and a proactive approach to safety, quality and continuous improvement. You lead by example, promoting safe working practices and a culture of accountability.
* Using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone and FMEA to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
* Ability to analyse quality data, track performance metrics and clearly present findings to support decision-making.
* Comfortable working cross-functionally with Production, Engineering and Quality teams; build strong relationships and drive improvements collaboratively.
* Solid understanding of lean principles; focus on reducing defects, improving process capability and eliminating waste.
* Commercial awareness of the impact of rework, scrap and warranty claims; support cost-benefit and ROI analysis.
* Maintain strong awareness of business processes, quality standards and health and safety requirements in daily work.
About The Role
You will support a strong safety culture, reinforce safe working practices and help maintain a clean, compliant production environment.
* Lead and support root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and improve overall quality performance.
* Work with the Quality Manager to drive improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
* Collaborate with Production and Engineering to remove bottlenecks, resolve quality issues quickly and improve flow and schedule adherence.
* Participate in production meetings to identify trends, highlight risks and ensure timely action to minimise downtime.
* Focus on reducing the cost of poor quality through systemic improvements; track quality metrics, provide cost-benefit analysis and support reporting on cost savings and ROI.
* Work closely with commissioning and testing teams to ensure improvements are practical, sustainable and aligned with business objectives.
