The Team
The Salesforce team is a vital part of Oodle’s Engineering division, managing the Salesforce platform and data integrations across front-end systems. The team comprises 11 engineers: 8 Salesforce Engineers, 1 Salesforce Business Administrator, and 3 QA Engineers. We focus on delivering high-quality Salesforce and integrated software products in a fun, social environment.
This role can be based in London, Oxford, or Manchester, with a hybrid working model combining in-office and remote work. We are inclusive and open to flexible working arrangements, which can be discussed during the interview process.
The Role
Salesforce Engineer at Oodle Car Finance
The Salesforce Engineer collaborates with product teams to develop software aligned with project goals, contributing to design and development tasks related to Salesforce, ensuring code adheres to platform best practices.
Your daily responsibilities may include:
1. Building and supporting Salesforce applications using Apex and Lightning Web Components to maximize platform capabilities and facilitate integrations.
2. Promoting strong software architecture, development best practices, and adopting new frameworks.
3. Translating business requirements into technical designs and implementations.
4. Troubleshooting and resolving defects during various project stages, including deployment and production support.
About You

Essential Requirements:
* Development experience on the Salesforce Platform with declarative and coded solutions.
* Understanding of Lightning UX and Salesforce configuration for efficiency.
* Experience with IDEs like VSCode or IntelliJ.
* Proficiency with Git or similar source control systems.
* Knowledge of integration technologies such as REST and SOAP.
* Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or equivalent experience.
* Experience with Jira and Confluence.
* Strong communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud development.
* Familiarity with Salesforce DX and CLI for development and CI/CD.
* Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
