Role Overview Experienced Consultant Breast Radiologist, or experienced Consultant Radiologist with a desire to develop into Breast Radiology, to join the Breast Centre team at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness on a 10‑day per week (flexible, part‑time and home working options available).
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist breast imaging services for both screening and symptomatic patients.
Work alongside radiology, nursing and surgical specialists in a supportive clinical environment.
Perform and supervise stereotactic biopsies and other relevant procedures in collaboration with advanced practitioners and radiographers.
Participate in the North Cancer Alliance and the North of Scotland Breast Screening Service, collaborating with other cancer centres.
Contribute to continual development of the non‑medical workforce and maintain high‑quality diagnostic standards.
Utilise tele‑radiology for out‑of‑hours reporting; no on‑call commitment is required.
Qualifications & Experience
Consultant‑level experience in radiology with a specialisation or strong interest in breast imaging.
Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
