About You and The RoleWe're looking for a Duty Manager who will:Lead and support the front of house team, stepping in across Reception and Concierge when needed, and taking charge in the absence of the Reception ManagerOversee daily operations, managing handovers, guest arrivals and departures, VIPs, and service recovery when requiredTake ownership of the guest journey, ensuring a seamless and personalised experience from arrival to departureHandle guest feedback and complaints professionally, authorising allowances, rebates, and late checkouts where appropriateSupport back of house responsibilities, including credit checks, lost property, and shift reportsMaintain visibility across the hotel through regular property walks, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and service standards are upheldAct as incident commander and fire marshal during emergencies and ensure full compliance with hotel policies and proceduresComplete clear handovers and communicate key updates to the wider team and senior leadersWork a flexible shift pattern, on a 4 on 4 off basis, including weekdays and weekends, while motivating the team and creating exceptional guest experiencesWith more hotels in the pipeline, now is an exciting time to join a growing brand where your career can thrive, guided by our REAL People values.Why Choose The Newman?We believe great people deserve great benefits.
