Are you a confident communicator who loves a varied role and wants to make a difference? Do you enjoy connecting with people, getting things organised, and working in a purpose-led environment?
We're hiring a Junior Business & Operations Assistant to support and grow our Disability, Equity and Inclusion Consultancy and Training Academy based in Talbot Green. This is a part-time role with potential to increase hours and responsibilities over time. You'll receive training and mentorship as you learn the ropes of business operations, client development, and social impact work.
This is not a passive admin role — we're looking for someone who's happy to reach out to new and existing contacts, build relationships, and help us grow.
What You'll Do
You'll support the founder across business operations, events, marketing, and growth. Your work will help streamline the business, expand our reach, and improve how we serve our clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting event planning and coordination for workshops and talks
Proactively reaching out to potential clients in both warm and cold markets via email, phone, social media, and networking opportunities
Supporting sales activity — booking calls, tracking leads, and nurturing relationships
Assisting with funding and grant applications (training provided)
Helping with basic marketing tasks, including newsletters, social media, and content coordination
Providing general admin and office support, including task tracking and internal coordination
You're a Great Fit If You Are…
A confident communicator who enjoys talking to people and building rapport
Highly organised and detail-oriented
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
Open to learning new systems, tools, and approaches
Interested in accessibility, inclusion, and socially conscious work
Ideally have experience working with or awareness of neurodivergent and/or chronically ill individuals, either personally or professionally (not essential)
Desirable (but not required)
Experience in sales, outreach, or customer engagement
Basic knowledge of marketing or communications
Familiarity with CRMs, project management tools, or social platforms
What We Offer
A supportive working environment
Paid training and on-the-job learning
Mentorship and opportunities for career development
Potential for increased hours and responsibilities as the business grows
The chance to contribute to real, meaningful work around accessibility and equity
Please let us know if you need any adjustments during the application process — we're committed to making this inclusive and accessible.
We especially welcome applications from disabled, neurodivergent, and chronically ill individuals, as well as candidates from other underrepresented backgrounds. You don't need a traditional background — just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and genuine interest in our mission.
A new DBS check will be undertaken if not on the update service.
