Retail Security Officer - Lidl. Pay rate: £13.00 per hour. Hours: Various. Location: Lidl - Union Street, Bristol.
Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.
Objectives and responsibilities
* Work to the Assignment Instructions ensuring that all activity is accurately recorded on the correct documents, in line with both the Client's and the Company's Quality Procedures
* Follow the site-specific Risk Assessments ensuring all activities are completed in a safe manner
* Set and maintain the highest personal and professional standards as an employee of MITIE and adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues and clients
* Create a safe working environment, free from crime and health and safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and customers
* Provide a polite greeting and excellent customer service
* Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers
Main duties
* To deliver industry leading customer service
* To be clean, tidy and properly dressed wearing full uniform
* To deter violence and public order offences
* To conduct patrols of the store
* Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
* Liaise with the store management teams
* To report incidents and crime through our leading technology
* Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
* To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
Who we are looking for
* Experience of delivering Customer Service
* Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal
* Adaptable communication style to meet the needs of different people groups
* Ability to work in a fast-moving services business
* Capability in the use of technology
* Good attention to detail
* High level of enthusiasm and passion
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
* Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential
