As Manufacturing Engineers you will be joining a growing division of Segula. This offers a large potential for personal growth within a consultancy who works with multiple customers and sectors. You will be responsible for introduction of new facilities, materials product lines and new/ current vehicle freshening programs.
Job Description
* Assessing feasibility of new facilities and processes, development and management of projects for cost, quality and timing.
* Supporting the area by providing the required capability and capacity at the facilities and supporting equipment, aligned to the programme milestones, launch plans and production requirements.
* Developing engineering solutions that are suited to the capabilities of appropriate facility and its associated process characteristics as directed.
* Developing robust/lean layout solutions to support facility project delivery or process/operational efficiency improvements.
* Co-ordinating the support and input of all relevant stakeholders to achieve acceptance, buy-off and successful handover of new or modified facilities.
* Working closely with Manufacturing and other Engineering disciplines across the company to deliver programs & facility projects to cost targets and timing.
* Management of facility documentation on the projects they work on in line with Manufacturing Engineering procedures, supporting internal and external audits.
* Leading & partaking in multifunctional New Equipment Procurement Teams through all project phases ensuring company procurement procedures are met & adhered to.
* Tracking project based KPI's & make ready for report out to departmental manager on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
Required:
* Sound engineering and manufacturing background with previous experience in the automotive industry.
* Experience of reliability and maintainability principals and an understanding of the environmental impacts of engineering solutions.
* Ability to control & manage suppliers (both Material & Equipment).
* Have a working knowledge of the application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
* Contract and performance management experience.
* Good working knowledge of CDM regulations.
* Previous experience of Supplier selection and tender management.
* Working knowledge of electrical control systems employed with automated equipment & conveyor equipment.
Nice to have:
* Degree qualified or equivalent Engineering experience preferred.
* Knowledge of CATIA, SOLIDWORKS or AUTOCAD would be desirable
