The Electrical Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment at project sites. This role ensures that all electrical work meets design specifications, safety standards, and project deadlines while providing technical support to field teams and clients. This is a field based role covering Scotland and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities: Performinstallation,testing, andcommissioningofLV electrical systems, Conducttroubleshooting,diagnostics, and repairof electrical faults and ensure minimal downtime. Review andinterpretengineeringdrawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance withnational and international electrical codes(e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE). Coordinate with project managers, designers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution. Preparetechnicalreports, test results, and documentation. Conductpreventiveand correctivemaintenanceactivities. Implement and enforcesafety procedures and quality standards. Providetechnicaltraining and guidanceto junior engineers. Qualifications & Skills: 18th Edition C+G 2365 Level 3 25+ years of field experience (depending on job level). Strong understanding of power systems, protection, and control circuits. Proficiency with tools like AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar software.
