As a Shift
Engineer, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within our
residential flats. The maintenance engineers’ primary responsibility is to
maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. You will need to
be reliable, hardworking, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends
and out-of-hours emergency call-outs.
Main
Responsibilities:
* Assist
in the day-to-day maintenance of the residential flats, including any
faults or repairs.
* Plumbing
– unblocking drains/toilets, repairing/replacing taps, etc.
* Minor
electrical works – replacing lamps/fittings, sockets, and switches, etc.
* Carry
out Health & Safety tasks, i.e., weekly fire alarm tests, water
temperature monitoring, showerhead descaling, etc.
* Maintenance
on HVAC systems, i.e., filter cleaning/replacing.
* Ensure
that the residential flats are kept to the highest maintenance standards.
* Respond
in a timely manner to all maintenance requests and concerns raised by
residents and team members according to the company's reporting procedure.
Person
Specification:
* Previous
experience in residential maintenance or similar settings.
* Ability
to work alone or as part of a team.
* Excellent
communication skills.
* Knowledge
of Health and Safety in the workplace.
* Good
problem-solving skills.
* City
& Guilds Level 2 in any trade is desired but not essential.
