We are seeking a meticulous and process-driven Materials Traceability & Project Lead to join our manufacturing client based in West Yorkshire.
The primary purpose of this role is to document, check, and verify all materials and parts throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, ensuring full and auditable traceability from goods receipt through to final dispatch.
You will play a key part in maintaining quality standards and compliance by recording and tracking materials at every stage of production. This includes both on-site verification and occasional off-site inspections within our supply chain.
The Role
* Check, log, and document all materials from Goods In, through to Dispatch, ensuring traceability at every step.
* Monitor materials and components through all manufacturing processes, including:
* Goods In
* Stores
* Machine Shop & Fabrication
* Welding
* Fitting
* Blasting & Coating
* Test & Inspection
* Dispatch / Carriage of Goods
* Maintain comprehensive and accurate records for all traceability documentation.
* Conduct offsite inspections to ensure supply chain compliance with quality standards.
* Liaise with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure alignment and efficient flow of materials.
* Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives relating to traceability and quality control.
Person Specification
* Experience within engineering or manufacturing environments.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to process documentation.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to track progress across multiple production phases.
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Proficient in maintaining records to meet audit and compliance standards.
* Any exposure to nuclear or regulated industry processes would be advantageous.
