About the Role
As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of communication, interaction, social, emotional, and mental health needs. You ll play a key role in helping students access a personalised curriculum designed to develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils to engage with a broad, personalised curriculum Adapting approaches to suit individual learning styles and needs Promoting positive communication, interaction, and relationships Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and specialist staff Supporting structured routines, sensory activities, and social development Assisting with personal care and mobility support where required Encouraging independence, wellbeing, and life skills Creating a calm, respectful, and inclusive learning environment Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families Who We re Looking For
We re looking for someone who is truly passionate about working in a specialist setting and understands the importance of consistency, empathy, and patience .
The ideal candidate will have:
