We are recruiting for a Grab Driver to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Shrewsbury Area. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients.
Working hours & location
* Location: Shrewsbury
* 50 hours a week
* £13.50 - £14.50 per hour
Responsibilities
* Safely operate HGV vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
* Deliver concrete, aggregates, and other materials to various locations in a timely manner.
* Load and unload materials as required, using appropriate equipment.
* Plan efficient routes for deliveries and ensure punctual service.
* Communicate effectively with line management and team members to coordinate deliveries efficiently.
* Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures.
* Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
* Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks.
* Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Wearing and maintaining in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided, and report defects to your supervisor.
Experience and qualifications
(Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)
* Full UK driving licence, Class 2 licence, CPCS Lorry Loader (Required)
* Up-to-date driver CPC and Digi Tacho (Required)
* NPORS
* Banksman
* Manual Handling
* Emergency First Aid
* NRSWA
* EUSR National Water Hygiene
* Asbestos Awareness
* CPC Driver Training (HGV only)
* Slinger and Signaller
* Abrasive Wheels
* Civils experience on wastewater
Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.
