The Role Preparing chemicals, solutions, and apparatus for practical Chemistry lessons across KS3–KS5 Supporting advanced practical investigations at GCSE and A Level Ensuring safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals in line with COSHH regulations Maintaining laboratory equipment and coordinating servicing or repairs Managing chemical stock control and maintaining accurate inventories Assisting teachers with risk assessments and updating safety documentation Supporting the preparation and administration of required practical assessments Ensuring laboratories remain compliant, organised, and safe at all times Liaising with other Science technicians to ensure smooth departmental operations The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous laboratory or Chemistry-based experience (school or industry) Strong understanding of COSHH and laboratory safety procedures High attention to detail and organisational accuracy Confidence supporting practical investigations at GCSE and A Level The ability to prioritise workload in a busy school environment A professional, reliable, and proactive approach Salary Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Application To apply for this Chemistry Technician position in Oxford, please submit your CV outlining your laboratory or school-based experience.
