Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm (40 working weeks per year)
Day-to-day of the role:
Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced menus within budget, considering dietary requirements.
Collaborate with the Business Manager on catering strategies and best practices.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Manage kitchen operations including documentation, accounting, and administrative procedures.
Develop and manage staff rotas, induct and train new kitchen staff.
Maintain accurate food supply records and manage stock rotation.
Oversee food deliveries, ensuring accuracy and proper storage.
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment and plan periodic deep cleans.
Organize and prepare for special functions, sometimes outside normal working hours.
