Hours: 37.42 hours per week (Working ona 4 on 2 off shift pattern (7.45am–4.15pm & 11.30am-8.00pm shifts)

We are recruiting Hostel Support Workers.
Stonepillow supports and empowers homeless and vulnerable people toachieve sustainable independence and wellbeing and make positivechanges in their lives.
Your role will be to support homeless adults who may be experiencinga number of complexities including mental health and substance misuseissues. The aim of the role is to support and signpost clients intoservices that will improve their housing, health and wellbeing whileimproving the client’s quality of life. This is achieved through theprovision of engagement and individualised support plans, targetedinterventions, signposting and group work. You will work proactivelyto form strong relationships and gain clients' trust, striving toprovide the best possible service levels at all times.
Working as part of a team as well as independently, the successfulcandidate will have good verbal and written communication skills withthe ability to motivate, engage and inspire including the initiativeto be able to deal with challenging situations in a calm and effect manner.
Role Duties
* Manage case allocation of clients.
* Conduct case management reviews which involves undertaking risk assessments
* Actively engage with clients on a weekly basis in key worksessions to improve client outcomes ensuring clear boundaries areadhered to.
* Promote clients’ independence and meaningful community presencepreparing them for independent living so they are ready to transferto alternative accommodation. This is achieved by supporting andencouraging clients to maintain a clean and safe physicalenvironment and offering advice where needed to promote lifestyleskills such as cleaning, laundry, cooking and self-care.
* Managing and deescalating any disputes or emergencies recordingincident reports.
* Writing up case notes on client database system.
