Job Description

3. Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.
4. Support recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions and managing candidate communications.
5. Assist with employee relations matters, such as grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.
6. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.
7. Contribute to HR projects, including policy development and workforce planning.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
9. Deliver training and development initiatives to support staff and management growth.
10. Provide data and reports to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR Advisor should have:

11. A strong understanding of human resources principles and UK employment law.
12. Experience in advising on employee relations issues and supporting managers.
13. Proficiency in using HR systems and maintaining accurate records.
14. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
16. Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector is advantageous but not essential.
