TLTP are looking for an experienced SEN/SEMHTA for an SEN School based in Wembley. The school is committed to the development and delivery of high-quality relationships with families and local community organisations to ensure that the children attending the school achieve their full potential and become respected and active members of the local community.
The position will include:
1. Working with primary students with SEMH & ASD
2. Working on a 1:1 or small group basis
3. Using visual aids to communicate with students
4. Supporting students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
Requirements:
1. Available to start ASAP
2. Experience of working with children or a care background

This special needs teaching assistant role involves supporting secondary children with autism and complex needs.
1. Excellent behaviour management skills are required
2. Ability to build positive relationships with young people and staff
3. Good knowledge and experience working with children with ASD/complex needs within a special needs environment
4. Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with special needs
Responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with classroom teachers to define appropriate activities related to the curriculum
2. Assessing children with learning difficulties and working with colleagues to identify individual needs
3. Liaising with professionals such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, and educational psychologists
4. Working closely with parents and guardians
5. Organising outdoor activities, community visits, school outings, or sporting events
6. Assisting in personal care and medical needs of severely disabled pupils
7. Maintaining records of pupils' progress
8. Attending statutory reviews and meetings related to students with SEN, including EHC plan reviews
9. Participating in in-service training
10. Implementing behaviour management strategies
