About the Role
Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a long standing client who are on the market to bring a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join the business on a 12 months FTC. You will work alongside the sales teams by providing valuable insights, analysis, and guidance on business decisions. You will help drive profitable growth in our key wholesale customer.
Key Responsibilities
* As a strategic financial advisor to the wholesale sales teams, you will provide valuable insights and guidance on business decisions.
* Using your knowledge and judgement, you will provide input to the wholesale sales forecast, in close collaboration with the wider business teams (sales, production, and demand planning). Your understanding of the wholesale market and customers will enable you to facilitate meaningful forecasts and executable actions with which to manage the business.
* To own the financial appraisal of promotional and trade investment opportunities, ensuring compliance and control of corporate spend. This will include ensuring robust processing and planning of the promotional activity and associated accounting records.
* You will ensure accurate and timely management of the commercial month end process, including reconciliation of trade spend accruals and cost center accounting.
* As the finance lead for key business growth strategies, you will be instrumental in enabling understanding and scenario planning through best-in-class analysis. Your curiosity, coupled with your ability to establish great relationships with key stakeholders, will be invaluable.
* Carry out any other tasks commensurate with this post.
Experience
* Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with previous commercial accounts experience a necessity, preferably with experience of the UK wholesale market.
* Advanced Excel skills and to be comfortable handling large volumes of data, whilst maintaining control and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills - ability to communicate appropriately at all levels.
* Ability to motivate self to achieve deadlines, working flexibly during peak times.
* Professional and confident manner (able to work at all levels).
* Flexible, positive can-do attitude.
* Comfortable working independently and in teams.
* SAP/Movex/M3 Software knowledge is desirable, but not a requirement.
