Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintenance, with knowledge of electrics, plumbing, joinery & decorating. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. The Maintenance Operative will also play a key role in supervising maintenance activities and safety checks.
Duties
* Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed including regular safety checks.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are met efficiently.
* Liase with specialist contractors where required.
* Carry out planned maintenance including painting & decorating.
* Implement fire prevention checks as laid down in the fire policy.
* Safe keeping of tools & equipment.
* Maintain building & grounds, seasonal gardening works.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in maintenance roles & good knowledge of DIY.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
* Basic knowledge of electrics, plumbing & joinery.
* Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.
