The Role:
You will take responsibility for reviewing and negotiating project appointments and contractual documents, ensuring compliance with legal risk management policies. This role involves managing internal and external client relationships, advising on debt recovery and claims, and handling diverse legal queries including data protection, intellectual property, and IT licensing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and negotiate professional appointments, collateral warranties, novation agreements, and related contracts.
* Identify and mitigate liability, insurance, and commercial risks.
* Liaise with insurers and external advisors on professional indemnity matters.
* Manage claims, debt recovery, and miscellaneous legal issues.
* Supervise and mentor junior team members, contributing to team development.
* Support business development initiatives and maintain up-to-date industry knowledge.
About You:
* Qualified Solicitor with experience in professional appointments and construction contracts.
* Strong understanding of commercial risk and insurance issues.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Proven ability to prioritise workload and supervise junior colleagues.
