The Role
As a Fabricator / Welder the role will involve the following:
1. Shaping copper into copper distillation and condensing equipment for a wide range of projects
2. General welding and fabrication tasks including MIG/TIG welding and using guillotines and press brake machines to cut and bend the copper
3. This will include classic “copper smithing” work once the metal is hot
4. There will be some site-based repair work when required
5. Adhering to all health & safety requirements
6. Working as part of a small, skilled fabrication team
7. You will undergo full training on how to become a Coppersmith
The Fabricator / Welder will need the following skills to be successful in their application:
8. You will need to have a wide range of fabricating / welding experience working with stainless steel or aluminium
9. Previous experience in TIG/MIG/MMA welding
10. Used guillotines and press brake machines in previous roles
11. Worked with bespoke products
12. Able to read engineering drawings
13. Excellent work ethic
14. An eye for detail and diligent working practices
