WHAT WILL THE SENIOR ELECTRONICS ENGINEER BE DOING?
4. As a senior member of the team, it would be expected that you guide and assist junior engineers
5. Collaborate with other teams across the business (Mechanical/PCB/Software) to create the right solutions
6. Design and verification of electronic circuits
7. Testing and debugging of PCB's
8. Design and development of test fixtures
9. Component sourcing and procurement specification
10. Schematic/documentation control
11. Participate and prepare hardware technical specifications
12. Maintain an awareness for tools and technologies and recommend when necessary
13. Ensure all designs are compliant with ISO policy documents
14. Test plan generation
15. Liaise with production to ensure designs are suitable for manufacture and test
THE SENIOR ELECTRONICS ENGINEER SHOULD HAVE .
16. Significant experience with system design
17. Analogue electronics experience: - Bipolar transistor and FET design, Operational amplifiers, Analogue to digital conversion, Digital to analogue conversion
18. Power Supply topology and design experience.
19. Digital electronics: - Microprocessor design, CMOS logic design, PAL/EPLD design, DRAM, FLASH, EEPROM and PROM
20. RF design techniques (Advantageous but not essential)
21. Understanding of RADAR technology (Advantageous but not essential)
22. Basic knowledge and understanding or Embedded software design (C and Assembler)
23. A good working knowledge and understanding of EMC and appropriate design
24. Use of schematic capture and circuit simulations tools
25. PCB layout and good practise
26. SM technologies and production/test processes
