Kennedys is continuing its successful expansion, and as part of this exciting growth period our Motor team is looking for Assistant Litigation Handler.

Are you looking to launch your career in litigation and gain hands-on legal experience from day one? Our Credit Hire team are seeking enthusiastic and ambitious Assistant Litigation Handler to support experienced colleagues with a range of both pre-litigated and litigated Motor files.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an experienced, supportive team, on Credit Hire and Personal Injury cases, developing the essential technical skills needed to progress within litigation into handling your own caseload in the future.

We'll give you structured training, personal mentoring, and plenty of responsibility early on, so you can grow quickly in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

1. Support file handlers with managing Credit Hire claims (SCT and FTC)
2. Assisting with drafting correspondence and court documents
3. Liaise directly with clients, third parties, and other stakeholders
4. Maintain accurate case records up to date and provide essential administrative team support
5. Gain exposure to negotiations and settlement strategies

Required experience

6. No previous claims or litigation experience required – just a genuine interest in law
7. Legal work experience (vacation schemes, volunteering, placements) would be advantageous but not essential
8. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10. Enthusiasm, ambition, and a willingness to learn
11. Keen interest in developing a career in litigation and Credit Hire
