We administer and support Microsoft SQL Server databases. We participate in a 24/7 remote on-call rota following training. We troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, database, and application issues. We perform application installations, upgrades, and configuration changes. We support deployment and implementation of new systems and applications. We monitor system performance and proactively resolve incidents. We collaborate with developers and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues. We manage server builds, patching, maintenance, and environment configuration. We support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes. We maintain technical documentation, procedures, and configurations. We assist with networking issues including DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and connectivity. We participate in system testing, releases, and change management activities.
