The role
We are working with a large, high-performing secondary school with a strong pastoral and SEN focus to recruit a Graduate Learning Support Assistant. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, youth work, or education support.
You’ll work alongside teaching staff and the SEN/pastoral teams to provide 1:1 and small-group academic and pastoral support across KS3–KS5, helping students access the curriculum and build confidence.

Key responsibilities
6. Support pupils in-class and through targeted interventions
7. Assist with academic, social, and emotional development
8. Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence
9. Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor progress
10. Gain hands-on experience in a secondary school environment
The ideal candidate
11. Degree in any subject (education, psychology, humanities, or science advantageous)
12. Passion for working with young people
13. Calm, patient, and adaptable
14. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
15. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
