Your responsibilities will include:
This position is part of our Regional Equipment Pool (REP) Warehousing team based in Linton, responsible for managing a fleet of vehicles and equipment, on behalf of the New Zealand Defence Force.
In this hands-on role, you will be involved in configuring and moving vehicles and equipment, receiving and issuing loaned items, coordinating their return with the customer and accounting for items when in storage.
A basic understanding of minor mechanical issues is beneficial, as you'll be required to identify basic faults.
About you:
To see you succeed in this role we are looking for the following skills/attributes:
1. Practical experience in a logistics based, customer focused role
2. Physically fit as some heavy lifting is required
3. Full Motor Vehicle licence essential – preference will be given to those with Class 2
4. A Team player who is not afraid to get your hands dirty and is be happy to chip in to get the job done
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Confidential New Zealand Defence Security Clearance by meeting one of the following criteria:
5. A NZ citizen, OR
6. A NZ Permanent Resident who has resided in NZ for the past 5 years OR
7. A citizen of Australia, Canada, UK or the USA who has a current work permit for NZ
You will also be required to undergo pre-employment activities including drug screening and vetting by NZ Police.
