Job Summary
The civilian workforce of over 9,500 Army Civil Servants and 2,400 Locally Employed Civilians provides crucial support to the Army in the delivery of its outputs. This role sits in the Activity and Resource Planning (A&RP) Team which is within the Equipment Department Field Army, we provide equipment support to All Front Line Commands for Land Managed Capabilities.
The A&RP Team collaboratively bring together and report Land Capability, in depth planned activity covering the next 3 years (Broken down to Kilometres travelled/ Hours Run and Rounds Fired). This mainly addresses the Vehicle Support Team portfolio covering Armoured Tracks, Protected Mobility, and the Operational Support Vehicles Programme (Support to wider Land portfolio capabilities are envisaged if appropriate to the A&RP Methodology).
The activity forecasting and demand planning process allows the Army to better handle the resources required to deliver planned activity, communicating activity changes to DE&S on a frequent basis, to an agreed planning rhythm.
A&RP is designed to enable the Army to generate a single, shared, integrated, agreed and affordable plan for the provision of materiel (Capital Spares (CS) and Raw Materials and Consumables (RMC)) in support of delivering Force Elements at Readiness and contingency. The Army must lead this demand and supply relationship with DE&S with, whilst ensuring commanders flexibility to conduct effective training.
The A&RP process is owned by the Field Army HQ staff, however, involves partners from across the Land Equipment Enterprise, including: DE&S, Field Army HQ, other Front Line Commands using Land equipment utilised by the Army and wider Strategic Suppliers.

You will be collaboratively working across multiple departments, monitoring actual vehicle performance against planned activity requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to gain further understanding of the wider Defence Departments, engaging activity/capability focal points across All Front-Line Commands and Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S).
Key Responsibilities Of a Performance Analyst:
* Work in a fast-paced Team, adopting a customer focused approach, implementing the Activity and Resource Planning process.
* Demonstrate good engagement skills including the ability to develop excellent working relationships with a diverse range of partners, ensuring that a robust Activity Forecast is produced and supported (Enabling a Holding to Account process to be undertaken).
* You will provide support to the development of a coherent, realistic, and affordable Equipment and Commodities Programme to the A&RP portfolio.
* Be responsible for the performance analysis of VST capabilities under, Armoured Tracks, Protected Mobility and Operational Support Vehicles, in line with the A&RP Battle Rhythm.
* Help stakeholders measure and assess outcomes (for example, what good looks like and how it will be measured).
* Help to plan and ensure project delivery.
