Overview
Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.
Hours and Pay
* Hours of work: 4 hours a week during school term; 8 hours a week during school holidays. This can be flexible.
* Rate of pay: £13.13 an hour.
Essential
* Take me out so I can burn off my energy.
* Understand my needs - Autism and possibly ADHD.
* I would also like you to take me out for food sometimes, and if I swear teach me not to.
* If we go to the park, teach me how to interact with other children with the right manners.
Desirable
* You are active, and can run around with me and support me to carry out activities.
* You have previous experience of working with children with Autism.
I’d like support with
* Taking me out so I can have fun.
* Keeping me safe, as I have no danger awareness.
* Keep me safe if I have a seizure.
Requirements for the PA
* Understand the importance of my needs.
* Be fun and patient with me.
* Be dependable and arrive on time.
* Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
* Be adaptable and flexible.
* Be supportive with my needs.
* Have business insurance on your car to take me out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
