Role Overview
We’re supporting a world-leading quantitative trading firm in the search for an Experienced Software Developer/Engineer to join their OTC technology group in London. This team designs and develops high-performance trading platforms that span both OTC liquidity provision and on-venue execution, covering asset classes such as equities, FX, and crypto. Operating within a highly autonomous environment, the team works closely with quants, risk and compliance stakeholders, and trading analysts to transform requirements into production-grade systems. With a focus on safety, performance, and velocity, this is a chance to contribute to the design of mission-critical infrastructure with a small, experienced group of engineers where impact is immediate and highly visible...
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain OTC trading systems spanning pricing, risk controls, venue connectivity, and algorithmic execution
* Translate business, model, and control requirements into performant, scalable code with an emphasis on correctness and reliability

* Implement and optimise low-latency infrastructure, including network stack integration, thread-per-core architectures, and performance tuning
* Contribute to team-wide design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Take ownership of projects across the full development lifecycle, from architecture through deployment and monitoring
What You’ll Bring...
* 4+ years hands-on experience building distributed or performance-sensitive systems, ideally with microsecond-level latency or high-throughput requirements
* Proven coding ability in Kotlin, or another object-oriented language such as Java (preferred), C++ or C#
* Familiarity with Linux APIs and comfort developing in a Linux-based environment
* Strong computer science fundamentals with several years’ experience in professional software development
* Experience applying modern testing approaches to ensure robustness and safety of critical systems
* Collaborative and pragmatic approach to code reviews, focusing on correctness and clarity
