DHU Healthcare is offering an exciting opportunity to join our small but dynamic Procurement team, where you'll play a key role in sourcing essential clinical and non-clinical goods and services that directly support frontline care.
In this 6-month role, you'll work within established systems to ensure best-value purchasing, maintain supplier records, support contract reviews, and collaborate with both internal teams and external suppliers. * Generous Annual Leave: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service up to 33 days + 8 bank holidays. Pro Rata/Per Annum.
Typical Daily Responsibilities
* Process purchase requisitions and liaise with stakeholders to deliver efficient procurement services.
* Support best-value purchasing through contract reviews, supplier updates, and sourcing activities.
* Manage the purchase-to-pay process, including receipting and validating orders for timely invoice payments.
* Act as the first point of contact for procurement queries, providing clear and timely responses.
* Work with the finance team to resolve invoice issues and maintain accurate records.
* Utilize procurement systems and Microsoft Office for data analysis, reporting, and document management.
* Prioritize tasks independently, contribute to team projects, and uphold DHU's values through professional conduct.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* CSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) with strong numeracy and analytical skills.
* Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally in healthcare.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to handle financial data.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing tasks independently or in a team.
* Working towards or holding a CIPS qualification (desirable) and willingness to learn.
